S03E20 – SIGH
Good morning 👋
“Keep Going” went out for pre-orders on Tuesday. Its page has been viewed 191 times with $309 in sales so far (almost all in the first 48 hours). It’s not a particularly bad return/start, considering any units sold so far were on the back of last week’s email and a few tweets. Since then, I’ve began a targeted email campaign. A lot of cold emails have been spent the last few days. But there have been minimal responses so far (I really like to think if/when things pick up, I’ll still make time to respond, however succinctly, to enquiries). I was feeling lousy about it, but, you know what, I’ll keep going. The feedback I’ve had so far from the admittedly not-so-many who have read the preview has been very positive. I just need to get more app developers’ attention. No influencers required. Easier said than done, but I’m not going to allow the last six months of effort to be mostly unread.
After practically four weeks without any coding, I was relieved to be back working on Appy Weather. It was a slow return though (not helped by my 4 y/o getting a stomach bug that kept him home for two days). And after a week gone, I’ve not a good feeling for upcoming productivity levels. Working from home is a privilege but it’s not the optimal environment to achieve flow when there’s a newborn next door. I may need to go on vacation to work. Planned for next week is creating the logic for generating dynamic strings. Get this done, and I can begin work on the UI layer (I’m sure I’ve said this before in a previous episode, i.e. it’s about time).
Have a great Sunday!
Best,
Bardi
