Good morning 👋
I spent the last hour of 2020 somewhere unexpected: StackOverflow. I’ve accepted if I want 2021 to make up for the last 12 months, then I will need to show up every day, NYE included.
For reference, accountability and your eyes only, these are the eight projects currently in planning/development:
Appy Weather 2 on iOS
Appy Weather 2 (re-written from the ground up natively)
ruff 2 on iOS
ruff 2 on Android (re-written from the ground up natively)
An app leveraging Twitter’s API (not another third-party client)
An app in the productivity space
A new developer-centric newsletter, hopefully tying in with the book
Bonus A second kid!
The list is overwhelming, but it’s exciting too. I haven’t felt this enthused about work since starting out as an indie. From the progress made so far, the apps will be a noticeable step up from their predecessors. That much I know.
Also clear, with so much on the pipeline, I know I must consistently project manage. I’m aiming to go 8 for 8. Whether I manage, I don’t know. It won’t be easy but I’ll try my best. But it’s important that I remain grounded throughout the process. I don’t want to be checked out of life this year. Actually, the opposite. By being more intentional, I hope to be more productive and present.
One thing is for sure though: I won’t be short on topics to write about for this season of Third Culture Letters.
Have a great Sunday, and an equally fulfilling 2021!
Best,
Bardi
Happy new year!
8 Projects are not easy to manage AND a second kid ;-)
Wish you the best that your plan is working.
How is the status of the book?
